Another thing that you might want to check out, especially if you are a Sookie Stackhouse fan, is the Sookie Stackhouse Companion which has been nominated for the Anthony Awards as well as for the Macavity Awards, both in non-fiction. As announced by Charlaine Harris on her Facebook Page on Friday, while yesterday she thanked those who helped her get there.

That reminds me; since Fever Moon is coming out next month (July 10th, to be exact) Miss Moning has been sharing with her Facebook fan based part of the process that she’s undergoing to bring forth the graphic novel. Among her recent updates, Miss Moning let her kindle fire lovers know that the graphic novel will in fact be available for that color e-Reader. She also shared two blurbs, one for Fever Moon and the other for Iced: A Dani O’Malley Novel. Here I leave you with both blurbs:

Fever Moon:
"Full of otherworldly creatures, action, and magic, Karen Marie Moning's #1 New York Times bestselling Fever series has long been ripe for translation into full-color graphic novel form. FEVER MOON (Del Rey Hardcover; July 10, 2012) is an original story set within the world of Shadowfever. Written by Moning, adapted by David Lawrence and gorgeously illustrated by Al Rio and Cliff Richards, it will captivate Moning's fans and delight readers of graphic novels such as Fables and Sandman.
In Shadowfever, MacKayla confronts an eerie, dangerous being that almost steals her voice and mind. Appearing as a tall, gaunt, faceless man nattily dressed in tailcoat and spats, he is called the Fear Dorcha—ageless, evil, and full of rage against humanity. When Mac meets him in Chester's, she averts destruction only through the intervention of the dreamy-eyed bartender.
In FEVER MOON, young sidhe-seer Dani is not so fortunate. Now, for the first time, Moning reveals what happened to Dani during her absence from the events of Shadowfever—and follows Mac and Barrons as they desperately search for an otherworldly killer wreaking havoc on the streets of Dublin."
Iced: A Dani O’Malley Novel:
"From #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Marie Moning comes the first book in her hotly anticipated new urban paranormal trilogy, set in the world of her blockbuster Fever series.
The year is 1 AWC—After the Wall Crash. The Fae are free and hunting us. It’s a war zone out there, and no two days are alike. I’m Dani O’Malley, the chaos-filled streets of Dublin are my home, and there’s no place I’d rather be.

Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules—and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the rare humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.

When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks—and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.

Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin—before everything and everyone in it gets iced."
Moving on to movies… Catching Fire, the sequel to the mega blockbuster The Hunger Games, has a release date; November 13, 2012 in IMAX theaters. If that isn’t news enough for you know this, Lionsgate has officially offered the role of Plutarch Heavensbee to actor Philip Seymour Hoffman to star in the next installment of the trilogy (see picture on the right).

Bonus:

For today’s bonus I have two trailers (both are second trailers from upcoming movies). The first one is the new trailer for the 5th installment on the Resident Evil franchise. Resident Evil: Retribution

Now, for the second video I most warn you ladies, look around you, then look around you again, and if you think a third sweep is necessary, do it. Why? Because the next video can cause serious awkward moments (try not to watch at work; just saying). This is the second (extended and highly detailed) trailer of upcoming male stripper film Magic Mike. Ladies, there are a lot of nakedness on this one, so be careful. You have been warned; now, enjoy and rejoice!

And that’s it for today’s post, thank you for joining me today. Hope to see you back here next week!
