Book Description:

If you have ever asked yourself where the Golden Snitch came from, how the Bludgers came into existence, or why the Wigtown Wanderers have pictures of meat cleavers on their robes, you need Quidditch Through The Ages. This limited edition is a copy of the volume in Hogwarts School Library, where it is consulted by young Quidditch fans on an almost daily basis.

Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to improving and saving the lives of children around the world – work that is even more important and astonishing than the three-and-a-half-second capture of the Golden Snitch by Roderick Plumpton in 1921. – Albus Dumbledore

I confiscated this book along with many others from my sister’s collection out of boredom. xD

Quidditch Through The Ages is a must have for all fans of the sport. Whether new to this sport or a lifelong fanatic this is a valuable addition to anybody’s personal collection.

From the first Quaffles, Snitch and Bludgers to a history on broomsticks, an insight of the current famous Quidditch teams and even a couple of handy playing tricks this book has everything you need in order to properly understand this game.

It doesn’t matter if you are a curious muggle or just the regular wizard out hunting for a new book, this small and yet amazing books is sure to please. And thanks to Aldus Dumbledore’s generosity 20% of the sales from this book will go to Comic Relief, and through Comic Relief t different charities that set out to help children in need.

But in all seriousness this books was great to read and also very amusing. It gives you a very detailed (and sometimes illustrated) history of the wonderful sport of Quidditch. It’s a wonderful insight of the sport (it also gives very brief explanations of other sports that were or are played by wizard and witches) that has shaped the history of the wizarding world. This is a wonderful addition to the Harry Potter books series.

I truly loved this book and will no doubt be reading it again in the near future (If my sister doesn’t kill me for borrowing her books without her permission that is!).

  3. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know
so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog.
